Testing the incoming resin is the first step in the quality control program. DVGW W 542 Composite Pipes for Drinking Water Installations - Quality Requirements and Testing
Resins are checked for contamination, melt flow rate (MFI), DSC, OIT and
density. This ensures that incoming materials conform to specified DVGW W 270 Reproduction of Microorganisms on Materials for Drinking Water Applications

2.10.2 Process Control
The quality control standards require inspections to be carried out on all 2.12 Usage of Pipe Clamps
finished products and tests to be performed on samples from every
production batch. All results recorded in our systems are used for product Used in combination with hot water PP-R pipes, pipe clamps may cause
development and optimization of the manufacturing process. Finished external stress especially if they are not dimensioned for the Outside
products are only accepted if all tests and inspections conform to the Diameter (OD) of the PP-R pipes and if they do not allow pipes to expand

PP-R pipes expand linearly and radially while hot water is running through
it. Hence proper pipe clamps should be used to allow free movement of

stock when all tests and inspections pass to the prescribed procedures
and specifications.
2.13 Pressure Test for VESBO PP-R Piping System
It is necessary to subject VESBO PP-R piping systems to pressure a test
after a completed installation. VESBO PP-R piping systems, unlike metal
ones but similar to all other plastic ones, need to follow a specific pressure
test procedure owing to mechanical properties of expansion when
subjected to pressure temperature differences and coefficient of expansion.
A change of 10°C in temperature, corresponds to a pressure change of 0.5
- 1.0 bar. Thus, the test medium shall as far as possible be kept at a
constant temperature throughout the test. The test is to be conducted
according to DIN 1988 Part 2 or BS 6700.
