INCOLA Soundproof Piping Systems

The silence level that VESBO INCOLA Soundproof Piping Systems provide is far
below the set limits, and is therefore compliant with VDI 4100 regulatory guidelines for
                   sound safety in houses.

2.4.3 Flow Rates Dened According to EN 14366 Standard

Since the formation of sound is directly proportional to the flow rate of the fluid in a pipe, sound
measurements are conducted at different flow rates. Today, flushing a toilet causes a flow of 3
                to 6 liters of water.

The test is conducted according to inner pipe diameter values with constant flow rates of 0.5, 1,
2, 4 and 8 l/s. Values are kept and controlled within 5% deviation during measurements.

Pipe Inner Diameter (mm) Flow Rate (l/s)
                      70 ≤ D < 100 1
                    100 ≤ D ≤ 125 4

                    125 < D ≤ 150 8

2.5 How Noises Are Generated in Wastewater Systems?

In domestic and industrial wastewater drainage systems, noises are typically generated
                through air and physical media.

                                                   3 2. Pipe
                                                                3. Fixed Clamp
                                                                4. Airborne Noise

Figure 5. Noises Generated Through Air and Physical Ways

Pipe vibrations are transmitted as airborne noises and transferred to walls as structure-borne
noises through fixed clamps. These may cause disturbances to the household.
