INCOLA Soundproof Piping Systems

2.8 Water Flow Noises in Pipelines

When water flows along a horizontal pipeline it generates flow noise; when it falls down
vertically inside pipes it generates falling noise; and when it hits turning points such as elbows
and branches it generates impact noise.

VESBO INCOLA pipes, fittings and clamps are recommended to prevent such noises.

                2.9 Soundproong in Wastewater Systems

VESBO advises wastewater systems to be planned and installed with soundproofing features
to dampen noise formation in the following areas:

               • Usage of sanitary appliances such as toilets and showers
               • Wastewater flowing into the sewage pipeline
               • Wastewater in the sewage pipeline–changing directions and passing on to lower collectors
               • Wastewater on collectors passing above areas that need to be protected

                                                                            1. Water discharge
                                                                            2. Discharge to vertical pipes
                                                                            3. Flow direction change
                                                                            4. Flow direction change
                                                                            5. Accumulated noise formation
