INCOLA Soundproof Piping Systems
The explanations of the test measurement values in Tables 10 and 11 are as follows:
FIGRA: Fire growth rate index used for classification purposes
Fs: Flame spread (mm)
LFS: Lateral flame spread (m)
2
PCS: Gross calorific potential (MJ/kg or MJ/m )
TSP600s: Total smoke production within 600 s (m²)
THR600s: Total heat release within 600 s (MJ)
Additional classifications s1, s2, s3 for smoke production
s1: The product shall comply all of the following criteria:
2
2
SMOGRA ≤ 30 m /s and TSP600s ≤ 50 m .
2
s2: The product shall comply all of the following criteria:
SMOGRA ≤ 180 m /s and TSP600s ≤ 200 m .
2
2
2
s3: Products for which no performance is declared or which do not comply with the s1 and s2
criteria. SMOGRA is the rate of generation of the maximum amount of smoke and the time of
period it takes to generate. “TSP600s” is the total smoke (m2), which occurs within 600
seconds (10 minutes).
SMOGRA: smoke growth rate
Additional classifications d0, d1, d2 for flaming droplets and/or particles
· d0, if no flaming droplets/particles occur within 600 s when tested in accordance with EN
13823;
· d1, if no flaming droplets/particles, persisting longer than 10 s, occur within 600 s when tested
in accordance with EN 13823;
· d2 if no performance is declared, or if the product
a) does not comply with the d0 and d1 classification criteria given above or
b) ignites the paper in the ignitability test (EN ISO 11925-2).
