System Design and Installation
1. Primary Ventilated System Congurations
Pressure in the discharge stack is controlled by
air flow in the discharge stack and the stack vent.
Alternatively, air admittance valves may be used.
2. Secondary Ventilated System Congurations
Pressure in the discharge stack is controlled by
use of separate ventilating stacks and/or
secondary branch ventilating pipes in connection
with stack vents.
3. Unventilated Discharge Branch Congurations
Pressure in the discharge branch is controlled by
air flow in the discharge branch.
4. Ventilated Discharge Branch Congurations
Pressure in the discharge branch is controlled by
ventilation of the discharge. Alternatively, air
admittance valves may be used.
Parameters defining the system are as follows;
1. Bath
2. Wash Basin 7. Branch Discharge Pipe
3. WC 8. Drain
4. Floor Gully 9. Stack Vent
5. Air Admittance Valve 10. Ventilating Stack
6. Stack 11. Branch Ventilating Pipe
